Green Day

The band was formed in the United States, California in Berkeley. Billie Joe Armstrong (guitar,vocals) was born on Ferbruary 17, 1972. Armstrong formed Sweet Children in 1987 with bassist Mike Dirnt. The groups name became Green Day in 1989. Their 1994 major-label debut was called Dookie and it sold over 10 million copies. My second favorite song by Green Day is american idiot. It's a very catchy song in my opinion. My favorite song is by Green Day is Boulevard of Broken Dreams. In 1989 the group had added drummer Al Sobrante and changed it's name to Green Day. That same year the band independently released it's first EP, 1000 hours. Green Day's first full album, 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hour was released later that year. Throughout the early 90s, Green Day continued to cultivate a cult following, which only gained strength with the release of their second album, 1992's Kerplunk. Green Day quickly followed Dookie with Insomniac in the fall of 1995.

INTRODUCTION

I chose green day because there are some songs by that band that I really liked like Boulevard of Broken Dreams and American Idiot that I heard by accident in other videos on Youtube. Both of these songs are pretty good in my opinion. The members of the band are Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt (bass; born Mike Pritchard) and Al Sobrante. They were active from the 1980s to 2010s. The genre of the band is pop/rock. The band was formed in 198
